Venus Retrograde in Pisces and Aries
Retrogrades are always an opportunity to turn the retrograding planet’s energy into something transformational. In this case, Venus, our planet of love is going retrograde the next 6 weeks in both Pisces and Aries. There will be caution about starting new relationships or signing partnership agreements. There will also potentially be old exes or past life partners showing up during this period. Both are possibilities.
But Venus is also our planet of resources, values, security and comfort. It’s our force of how we feel at ease, or not, and how we experience our sense of self-worth. In that light, this retrograde is an opportunity to re-assess and re-evaluate what calms our nervous system if you’ve been feeling a lot of stress or anxiety. My go-to practical things are getting currency on high-quality vitamins, exceptional magnesium cream I stock at the shop and supplements to physically assist you (I have been using the Vitality mushroom blend from my shop through this cold dark Alaska winter and it’s made a huge difference in my mental health), reinstating meditation and prayer daily and getting back outside for at least 30 minutes a day to walk and enjoy fresh air.
It can also mean an opportunity to re-assess where your confidence and worth come from. When we put our validation outside ourselves, when we attach to conditions or others for too long, our self-worth can really take a hit. This is a good period to practice affirmations of self-worth and self-love. Crystals like Red Jasper, Citrine, Carnelian Sunstone, Garnet and Bloodstone are all wonderful and powerful helpers to raise your frequency of confidence, self-love and appreciation.
“Think of some of the painful events in your life for how many of them are you grateful today? Because thanks to them you changed and grew. Happy events make life delightful, but they do not lead to self-discovery and growth and freedom. That privilege is reserved to the things and persons and situations that cause us pain. Every painful event contains in itself a seed of growth and liberation. Whosoever or whatever caused those feelings was your teacher because they revealed so much to you about yourself that you probably didn’t know. And they offered you an invitation and challenge to self-understanding, self-discovery and therefore to growth and life and freedom.
Now take this one step further. Look at everything you think and feel and say and do that you do not like in yourself. Any negative emotions and defects, your handicaps, your errors and attachments, your neurosis, and hang-ups and yes, even your sins. Can you see every one of them holding out a promise of growth, and grace for you? If you can, your heart will be flooded with peace and gratitude and love and acceptance of every single thing. And you will have discovered what people everywhere are searching for and never find. Namely, the fountainhead of serenity and joy that hides in every human heart.”
